About the project

This project involved the redesign of the visual identity for the United Nations Simulation (SONUC), an academic event organized by Escola Crescimento to promote debate, diplomacy, and collaborative learning among students. The goal was to develop a brand identity capable of clearly communicating the event’s educational purpose while strengthening its visual presence and institutional credibility. The redesign aimed to create a modern, meaningful, and recognizable visual system that could support communication materials, enhance participant engagement, and reinforce the values of cooperation, dialogue, and global awareness. The project focused not only on aesthetics but also on clarity, consistency, and usability across different formats and touchpoints.

What Was Done

A complete brand redesign was developed to reposition the event and improve the consistency of its visual communication. The work included the creation of a new logo, visual concept, typography system, color palette, and graphic elements designed to support both digital and printed materials.

The project also involved the development of supporting visual assets and brand applications used in promotional campaigns, institutional communication, and event materials. These deliverables ensured that the new identity could be applied consistently across different contexts, including presentations, banners, printed materials, and communication pieces used by organizers and participants.

How It Was Done

The design process was guided by research, conceptual development, and symbolic representation aligned with the event’s educational and diplomatic mission. The visual concept was developed to reflect the idea of interconnected nations and collaborative dialogue, translating complex values into a clear and engaging visual language.

Key visual elements were carefully selected to reinforce the brand narrative. Laurel symbols were incorporated to represent merit, achievement, and excellence reached through negotiation and cooperation, while stylized lines inspired by a global network were used to symbolize the connection between cultures, ideas, and perspectives.

A structured visual system was created to ensure coherence and flexibility across different applications. This included the definition of typography, color palette, patterns, and graphic compositions that could be easily adapted to various communication materials while maintaining visual consistency and brand recognition.

The process followed a strategic and user-centered approach, considering how students, organizers, and audiences would interact with the brand across physical and digital environments.

Results

The new visual identity strengthened the institutional image of the event and significantly improved the clarity and consistency of communication materials. The redesigned brand provided a stronger visual presence, making the event more recognizable and professional in both academic and promotional contexts.

The solution successfully translated abstract concepts such as globalization, collaboration, and shared learning into a cohesive visual system that supports engagement, communication, and brand perception. The identity also created a solid foundation for future editions of the event, enabling scalability and continuity in its visual communication.
